- Abstract :
We investigate the use of a single multi-port encoder/decoder (E/D) in an optical code-division multiple access
(OCDMA) network scenario. We present a comparison between the performance of two sets of phase shifted keying (PSK)
codes, and we evaluate the bit error rate (BER) and the spreading effect due to the asynchronous access.
We also investigate the performance degradation due to both multiple access interference (MAI) and beat noises.
